Teaching children ecology, plant health and food gardening through our partnership with Stephanie Alexander's Kitchen Garden Foundation.
We teach children how food travels from ‘seed to plate’
Since 2013 we have worked closely with students at Forestville Montessori School ages 3 to 12 years old, as gardening coach. We teach the children valuable skills, from how to plant seeds, to growing healthy and nutritious vegetables, as well as composting and harvesting.
Since 2017 we have been running the Edible Gardening Programme. We teach children from 3 to 12 years old valuable lessons in ecology, plant health and food gardening and how food travels from ‘seed to plate’ through our partnership with Stephanie Alexander's Kitchen Garden Foundation.
In 2019 we designed a dwell space for the entryway to the school, with a vertical garden installation. It’s an outdoor space for parents and guardians to rest and connect with others.
